AVIATION SUPPORT SERVICES TRAINING (A.S.S.T)
CC 930

Aviation Support Services Training (A.S.S.T) was created in 1980 under the name of Flight Operation Services Training Program. It was then responsible for coordination of Management Training and Flight Dispatch Training. Corporate Training and Flight Crew Ground Training carried out these two task respectively
In the later years, it was realized that departments other then the Flight Dispatch also required training. Therefore, this department was transferred to Flight Operations Training from Flight Operations Services bearing the responsibility of training all Flt. Ops. Svcs. Personnel.

It was then renamed as FOST and it started working under the guidance of General Manager- Flight Operations Training.
Now with the opening of Prince Sultan Aviation Academy, FOST department has become A.S.S.T.

The move also saw a rationalization of instructor positions The department remained and remains, solely responsible for the training of all Flight Operations Services personnel, in Kingdom and out of the Kingdom, with additional responsibility for all FOIS training, which encompasses department outside Flight Operations.
